Le Marche Countryside

This area on the eastern side of Italy is less commercially developed than places like Tuscany. The towns often are perched on hilltops surrounded by vast well-tended fields. Near our little villa was a local winery, where locals bring in demijohns to be refilled by a hose as if from a gas station. A farm nearby sold us fresh eggs.
