Lake Orta, Lago d'Orta - SOLD

This small town was ruled by a church father for many years, so was unchanged and retains much of its ancient quality. This piazza view was from my hotel window. High above the town are small chapels containing lifesize figures of St Francis and his companions. The small lake is between Lake Maggiore and Milan.
