The Island of Silence, Lake Orta, Italy

This small island holds an old convent, rectory and church. It's reached by a short boat ride and can be explored in a quiet stroll. There is only one tiny shop on the island. The small lake is just south of larger Lake Maggiore and is about 2 hours from Milan.
